Landlords in Allesley deal with Coventry City Council for licensing, planning and housing standards. We keep those three in view together, so a layout that suits the licence also works for planning and building control.
You get one point of contact for the whole job, a fixed price for the agreed specification and a written programme showing when each stage happens.

Checked October 2026 against Coventry City Council's HMO licensing page. Schemes change, so we confirm the position for your address before any work starts.
Coventry City Council's Article 4 direction covers 11 wards across the city, including Earlsdon, Foleshill, Lower and Upper Stoke, Radford, St Michael's and Westwood, not Allesley, so changing a family house here into a small HMO is usually permitted development. Seven or more occupants always needs planning permission. Coventry City Council also runs additional licensing across its whole area (until 3 May 2030), so smaller HMOs with three or four people from two or more households need a licence too.
En-suite installation in Allesley: what we do
We fit en-suite shower rooms in HMO bedrooms across Allesley, starting with a check that each bedroom still meets its size standard once the en-suite is built. Councils take different views on whether en-suite floor area counts, so we confirm the local position first.
Older houses often have joists running the wrong way and soil stacks in fixed positions, so in Allesley we check the drainage route under the floor before quoting. Every en-suite we fit in the West Midlands is finished with a ducted fan, certified electrics and fire stopping.
- Electrical work tested and certified
- Fire stopping where pipes pass through floors and walls
- Shower, toilet, basin and wipe-clean wall finish fitted
- Bedroom measured to confirm it still meets size standards
- Extract fan ducted to outside with overrun control
